Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by the University of Agricultural Sciences in Cluj Napoca, Romania, examined the presence and genotypes of Toxoplasma gondii in domestic cats. The researchers collected feces, blood, and heart samples from 31 cats in rural and urban areas of Romania. They found that two of the fecal samples tested positive for T. gondii oocysts, indicating a high infection rate in cats in Romania. The study also identified two common genotypes of T. gondii in the samples. The researchers concluded that further research is needed to fully understand the genotypes circulating in Romania.
