This patent application discusses an inverter apparatus used in a motor controller for electric vehicles. The current motor controllers generate a lot of heat, requiring the use of a heat sink and cooling liquid, resulting in a complex and large motor controller. The invention proposes a compact and modular inverter apparatus that reduces the size and complexity of the motor controller by stacking the power module and heat sink on top of a capacitor module and arranging the power transistors in a flat manner.
