Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by the University of Rwanda examined the use of a heat-producing wrap called the Dream Warmer to complement kangaroo mother care (KMC) in treating neonatal hypothermia. The study found that the Dream Warmer was safe and effective, with correct usage in the majority of cases. The mean admission temperature of newborns increased from slightly hypothermic to euthermic after the intervention. Both healthcare providers and parents reported a positive experience with the Dream Warmer. Ongoing education for healthcare providers and parents is crucial in ensuring continuous heat regulation and improving neonatal survival and outcomes. [Extracted from the article] |
