A recent study conducted by Ankara University provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of meningioma research over the past 40 years. The study aims to identify influential publications, international collaborations, emerging trends, and productive countries, authors, and journals in the field. The analysis of 9,619 articles on meningioma reveals that the United States, Japan, and Germany have contributed the most to the literature, while the Journal of Neurosurgery, World Neurosurgery, and Acta Neurochirurgica are the most productive journals. The study also highlights the most studied topics, such as magnetic resonance imaging, recurrence, radiation therapy, and skull base. Scientific collaboration is primarily seen in articles from Western countries, but developing countries like China, India, and Turkey also have a significant impact. [Extracted from the article] |
