Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Government College University Faisalabad in Pakistan explored the synthesis of zinc-doped titanium dioxide nanoparticles (Zn-doped TiO2-NPs) and their potential applications in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli and liver cancer cells. The researchers used the coprecipitation method to synthesize different concentrations of Zn-doped TiO2-NPs and analyzed their crystal structure, size, and surface morphology. The study found that increasing the concentration of Zn-doped TiO2-NPs resulted in increased antibacterial activity against E. coli and increased anticancer activity against liver cancer cells. The researchers suggest that Zn-doped TiO2-NPs could be further studied for potential use in cancer treatment. [Extracted from the article]
