Abstrakt:	The article focuses on a study from New York University Langone Health evaluating the effectiveness of the water siphon maneuver during barium esophagography for diagnosing gastroesophageal reflux disease. Topics include the correlation between water siphon maneuver-induced reflux and pathological gastroesophageal reflux as measured by ambulatory pH testing, the sensitivity and specificity of this diagnostic method, and the overall low accuracy of the maneuver in detecting pathological reflux.
