A recent report from Odisha, India, presents new data on granuloma, specifically focusing on a case of bilateral choroidal mass. The report describes a 27-year-old female who was initially being treated for suspected viral meningitis but was referred for an eye examination due to a decrease in vision in her left eye. The examination revealed multiple bilateral choroidal masses, and further tests confirmed a diagnosis of bilateral multifocal choroiditis with choroidal tubercular granuloma. The researchers emphasize the importance of considering tubercular granuloma as a possibility in cases of unilateral or bilateral mass lesions in the Indian subcontinent.
