Abstrakt: The present study of a vortex tube is about the configuration of a hot exit control valve that contributes crucial part in determining the temperature quality of a cold outlet fluid. This research focuses on optimizing vortex tubes using three distinct control valve models: truncated, square, and conical. ANSYS FLUENT software is employed to simulate turbulent flow within the vortex tube, with air as the working fluid. The turbulent flow simulation is carried out with standard k-ε model. The study investigates the impact of control valve shape and intake pressure on temperature. Results indicate that the promising result for thermal separation is observed by truncated valve for the vortex tube. The COP for the truncated control valve surpasses that of other models. Computational findings from this study are validated against experimental data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
