Abstrakt: In order to enhance the dynamical properties of concrete mixes and for sustainability purposes, the scraped tire rubber has been added to concrete mix as a percentage replacement from aggregate volume or weight. Such replacement minimized the mechanical properties of concrete due to the weak bond between rubber and cement paste. This paper deals with replacing rubber as a percentage of aggregate weight. Seven mixes have been casted, one conventional concrete to be as a reference mix and two other groups of rubberized concrete. The replacement was of (10, 20, 30%) rubber content from sand and gravel individually. Rubcrete unit weight, workability, compressive strength, stress-strain curve for mixes were investigated. From the Stress-strain curves gotten, it has been concluded that, rubcrete behaves similarly like conventional one at rubber content equals 10 or 20% and the behavior differs 30% rubber content and over. Also, rubcrete strain may reach 3 or 4 times the normal mix. Rubcrete delays the final collapse due to its higher strain and the compressive strength decreases for every increment in rubber content.
