This article discusses the book "Presidential Leadership at the Crossroads" by Michael J. Korzi, published by Texas A&M University Press. The book examines the presidency of William Howard Taft, with a focus on his theory of presidential leadership. Taft's presidency is often overshadowed by those of Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, but this book argues that Taft's leadership style was complex and nuanced, shaped by the changing expectations of the time. The book provides new insights into the Progressive era and the role of presidential leadership. [Extracted from the article] |
