Abstrakt: A recent report from Cangzhou People's Hospital in China explores the role of isorhamnetin in alleviating polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in rats. The study found that rats with PCOS exhibited increased levels of serum glucose, insulin, testosterone, and luteinizing hormone, as well as increased inflammation and apoptosis in ovarian tissues. Isorhamnetin treatment reduced these levels and inhibited inflammation and apoptosis, leading to a decrease in body weight, ovary weight, and ovary volume. The study suggests that isorhamnetin may alleviate PCOS by inactivating the tumor necrosis factor signaling pathway. [Extracted from the article]
