A study conducted by researchers from the Second Hospital of Jilin University in China has found that Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides, a natural compound, can reduce the severity of acute liver injury by improving the diversity and function of the gut microbiota. The study used carbon tetrachloride to induce acute liver injury in mice and analyzed the changes in the intestinal flora using 16S rRNA sequencing technology. The results showed that Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides promoted the proliferation of intestinal epithelial cells, reduced oxidative stress injury, and improved intestinal mucosal inflammation, ultimately alleviating acute liver injury. This research provides valuable insights into the potential therapeutic effects of Ganoderma lucidum polysaccharides on liver health. [Extracted from the article] |
