Abstrakt: A study conducted at Hebei Medical University in China investigated the pathogen distribution and clinical characteristics of acute community-acquired lower respiratory tract infections (CALRTIs). The study collected clinical data from 218 patients admitted to Baoding No.1 Central Hospital from December 2021 to December 2022. The results showed that Haemophilus influenzae and Staphylococcus aureus, as well as viruses and atypical pathogens, were the predominant bacteria in both groups. The study concluded that early pathogenic examination is important for guiding antibiotic therapy and improving clinical outcomes in patients with CALRTIs. [Extracted from the article]
