Abstrakt: The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold a public hearing on August 26th to discuss two permits for the proposed Maggie Lynn underground limestone mine in Washington County, Pennsylvania. Neiswonger Construction Inc. has applied for a large noncoal mining permit and a water permit known as the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit. The proposed mine is located within a half mile of East Bethlehem Township, an environmental justice area.
