Abstrakt: The article discusses the use of drones in modern warfare and explores whether they represent an evolution or a revolution in military affairs. It highlights the significant impact of drones on tactical operations, such as precise strikes and enhanced situational awareness, but notes that their strategic impact is limited. The article also emphasizes that drones are vulnerable to countermeasures and require human operators. It concludes that while drones have changed the landscape of modern warfare, they have not revolutionized it. The Romanian Armed Forces are adapting to this new reality by acquiring drone systems and anti-drone systems, as well as developing new capabilities.
