Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil has explored the use of a new theranostic agent for the treatment of advanced breast cancer. The agent, called MCM-41-NH2-DTPA-Gd3 -MIH, combines magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for detection and a novel chemotherapy agent (MIH 2.4Bl) for treatment. The nanomaterial was found to effectively deliver the drug and enhance MRI sensitivity. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated the efficacy of the nanomaterial in killing breast cancer cells and its potential to enhance breast cancer management. [Extracted from the article]
