A new report from researchers at Jagiellonian University Medical College in Poland explores the iodine concentrations in breast milk and colostrum and the factors that may influence these concentrations. The study found that factors such as the type of delivery and the use of L-thyroxine medication to normalize thyroid hormones can significantly affect iodine concentrations in breast milk. The researchers suggest that further research is needed to better understand the quality of breast milk and the factors that influence it. This information is important for understanding the essential components of an infant's only food and their potential impact on developmental disorders. [Extracted from the article] |
