A recent study conducted in Puntland State, Somalia, examined a dengue fever outbreak and its characteristics. The researchers analyzed data from 956 patients suspected of having dengue fever and found that 118 cases were positive for the disease. The majority of cases were dengue NS1 positive, and fever was the most common symptom. The study recommends improving vector control measures, enhancing case management, and conducting further research to better understand the circulating strains of dengue in the region.
