Abstrakt: | A recent pilot clinical trial conducted at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, aimed to evaluate the potential benefits of using a topical cannabidiol (CBD) cream to treat chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). The study involved 40 patients with established CIPN who were randomly assigned to receive either the CBD cream or a placebo cream. The results showed that the CBD cream did not significantly improve the symptoms of CIPN compared to the placebo. The study concluded that the CBD cream was well tolerated overall. This research was supported by the Minnesota Cancer Clinical Trials Network and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article] |
