Research Reports on Lactobacillus from University of Belgrade Provide New Insights (Beneficial Effects of Probiotic Lactobacillus paraplantarum BGCG11 on Pancreatic and Duodenum Function in Diabetic Rats).

Abstrakt: A research report from the University of Belgrade explores the effects of the probiotic Lactobacillus paraplantarum BGCG11 on the function of the duodenum and pancreas in diabetic rats. The study found that the probiotic had protective and regulatory roles in mitigating diabetes-induced pancreatic and duodenal dysfunction, regardless of whether it was administered before or after treatment. These findings suggest that Lactobacillus paraplantarum BGCG11 has therapeutic potential in managing gastrointestinal complications related to diabetes.
