Abstrakt: A study conducted by the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland examined the impact of enteral nutrition on intestinal inflammation in children with cerebral palsy (CP). The study found that children with CP who were fed enterally had higher levels of fecal calprotectin and zonulin compared to those who were fed orally. However, there was no significant increase in intestinal permeability expressed by stool zonulin in children with CP. These findings suggest that enteral nutrition may be associated with increased intestinal inflammation in children with CP. [Extracted from the article]
