A recent study conducted in Bucharest, Romania explored the factors that influence pregnant women's perceptions and attitudes towards midwifery care. The research found that midwives are not well-perceived or easily accessible in Romania, limiting women's options for pregnancy care. The study collected data from 1301 pregnant women through a self-administered questionnaire and found that many women preferred cesarean sections and did not prioritize control over the childbirth process. The researchers concluded that education and psychological preparation could help promote healthier and more woman-centered perinatal care. [Extracted from the article] |
