A recent study conducted at the University of Airlangga explored the impact of self-efficacy on older adults with depression. The research found that older individuals with depression often have low self-efficacy, which affects their ability to face challenges related to aging and ultimately impacts their quality of life and productivity. The study used a qualitative approach, conducting in-depth interviews with 14 older adults living in nursing homes who met the inclusion criteria. The results revealed four themes related to self-efficacy and highlighted the experiences and coping strategies of older adults with depression.
