Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Universidade Paranaense in Umuarama, Brazil, analyzed the chemical composition of extracts and essential oils from Tetradenia riparia, a plant commonly found in Brazil. The study assessed the antiproliferative, antioxidant, antiviral, and NO production inhibition activities of these extracts and oils. The results showed that the extracts contained flavonoids, phenolic acids, coumarins, and saturated fatty acids, while the essential oils included monoterpenes, oxygenated sesquiterpenes, and diterpenes. The study concluded that Tetradenia riparia has potential as a valuable source of bioactive compounds for therapeutic applications. [Extracted from the article]
