This article discusses the use of ozone as a residential water treatment tool. Ozone is a powerful oxidant that can purify and disinfect water by killing pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. It can effectively replace older methods of water treatment. Ozone is created on-site using a generator and is then injected into the water. After treatment, any remaining ozone must be removed. Ozone can also be used to treat well water by removing contaminants and improving taste and odor. It has various other applications, such as in swimming pools, aquariums, and laundry systems. Ozone water filtration provides superior oxidation without the drawbacks of chlorine or other chemical treatments. The article includes a case study that demonstrates the benefits of using an ozone system for water treatment. [Extracted from the article] |
