Abstrakt: Tony Fernandes, CEO of AirAsia, has successfully transformed the struggling airline into one of Asia's most prosperous carriers. AirAsia now operates in multiple countries, carrying over 800 million passengers. The airline is currently restructuring its businesses to become the world's first low-cost network carrier, aiming to democratize air travel by connecting tertiary cities and opening up secondary and tertiary routes. AirAsia is expanding its global network, including African destinations, starting with Nairobi. The airline plans to turn Kuala Lumpur into a global low-cost carrier hub and is considering future connections to other parts of Africa. AirAsia's success is attributed to its presence in diverse markets, affordability, and ability to connect regions.
