The article focuses on issues concerning the protest of Irish Republican Army (IRA) prisoners against the H-Block at the Maze prison just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. The protest is over the legal status of the IRA prisoners. The prisoners claim that they are political prisoners and therefore they should be treated differently from the criminal prisoners at Maze, who are required to wear uniforms and endure other indignities. |
