The first capture of the Prussian carp Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1782) in Avacha Bay is described. The specimen TL 125 mm was caught on June 12, 2023 in a tidal puddle with high water salinity. Morphological characters of the caught specimen are given. It is suggested that the Prussian carp entered Avacha Bay from Lake Kultuchnoye, which is connected to Avachinskaya bay by a channel located 5 km from the place of capture. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
