Abstrakt: This article discusses a case of post-chikungunya pigmentation in a 60-year-old diabetic male. The patient presented with hyperpigmentation of the skin on the face and palms, which was not preceded by a rash. Several other members of the community also reported similar hyperpigmentation following a febrile illness. Chikungunya fever is an acute febrile illness caused by the chikungunya virus and is associated with fever, arthralgias, myalgias, fatigue, and headache. Post-chikungunya pigmentation is an uncommon but important skin manifestation that can aid in detecting chikungunya fever outbreaks in the population. [Extracted from the article]
