Abstrakt: The 2023 Clinical Practice Guidelines for Diabetes Management in Korea, recommended by the Korean Diabetes Association, provide evidence-based recommendations for the diagnosis, screening, prevention, and treatment of diabetes and its complications. The guidelines emphasize individualized care and continuous education for individuals with diabetes, and cover various topics such as diagnosis, screening, prevention, nutrition therapy, exercise, and pharmacologic therapy. The document also discusses management strategies for type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as specific considerations for diabetes in older adults and children and adolescents. The guidelines are based on clinical studies and expert opinions, and highlight the benefits and risks of different interventions and medications. The text acknowledges the need for further research, particularly in the Korean population, and provides a list of references to studies and trials related to continuous glucose monitoring in patients with type 2 diabetes and pregnant women with diabetes. The findings suggest that continuous glucose monitoring can improve glycemic control and reduce hypoglycemia, but more research is needed to fully understand its benefits and limitations.
