This article discusses Art Volz's O gauge layout, which he built after retiring from a long and fulfilling career. Art's interest in toy trains was revived when he discovered his old Lionel trains from his childhood. He constructed a 10 x 20-foot layout in the crawl space underneath his house, using traditional tubular track and postwar transformers. The layout features handmade trees, realistic scenery, and structures named after his grandchildren. Art takes pride in his layout and enjoys sharing it with friends and family.
