Abstrakt: This article from the Romanian Journal of Oral Rehabilitation examines the potential effects of birth control pills on the fetus during pregnancy. It discusses the mechanism of action of birth control pills, relevant clinical trials, and associated complications to provide a better understanding of the risks and safety of contraceptive use during pregnancy. The article emphasizes the importance of further research to better manage and counsel pregnant women who use birth control. While limited evidence suggests that contraceptive use during pregnancy is generally not associated with an increased risk of birth defects or major complications, more research is needed to directly assess the risks and long-term consequences. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of seeking medical evaluation and counseling for women who use contraceptives and become pregnant. The document also includes a list of references to other articles related to contraception and reproductive health, providing valuable information for library patrons conducting research on these topics.
