The axisymmetric contact problem of thin coating wear, as a result of interaction with an annular punch that rotates around its axis, has been considered. The punch base is conformed with the coating surface. The problem has been solved by the time-stepping method. The power law of the coating deformation determines the integral equation that is reduced to Hammerstein's equation at each time step. The conditions for the existence of the unique solution of this equation have been found by the iterative method. The effect of the annulus dimensions, the coating deformation law, and the conformal contact function on the contact characteristics at different stages of the wear process has been analyzed. The time dependence of the pressure function has been established. The behavior of the contact characteristics, when the inner radius of the annulus tends to zero, has been studied.
