Abstrakt: This letter to the editor responds to an article discussing patients' preferences for male spine surgeons. The authors express concerns about the survey methodology and suggest conducting a more specific survey for different types of spinal conditions. They also highlight the advantages of female surgeons, such as their ability to address sensitive women's issues and consider fertility and menstrual cycles. The authors recommend educating medical students and the public about advancements in surgical tools that do not require physical strength. They also suggest including a "no sex preference" option in future surveys. The authors express gratitude for the article and invite the original authors to address their concerns.
