Abstrakt: Transportation is directed at environmentally friendly modes such as trains as a mode with efficient energy consumption per passenger and has low exhaust gases or pollutants. Kualanamu Airport Train is an airport train pilot in Indonesia, but the current occupancy rate of Kualanamu Airport Train is expected to meet the target. The frequency of airport trains has increased compared to the initial operation, but has not provided significant feedback on the increase in occupancy, in an effort to increase the occupancy of the Kualanamu Airport train, which is a continuation of the aircraft mode (intermodal), It is necessary to research the demand and services of the Kualanamu airport that passengers expect, in an effort to find the best conclusion for increasing the occupancy of Kualanamu airport train passengers. Mix methods are used in analyzing the demand and service. i.e the performance analysis index (IPA), the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The analysis results of the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) for safety service attributes and timeliness depend on quadrant 2 of cartesian quadrant in which case the operator is expected to maintain service. Performance, convenience, safety, equality depend on quadrant 3. In this quadrant factor related to services are not important for tourists, operator performance is mediocre and also users are not satisfied with the services provided. Service performance, among others, make it easier, tariffs, safety, equality needs to be improved so that customers are satisfied with the services provided and occupancy can be improved. Efforts that can be made based on the results of questionnaires and interviews include ticket prices that can compete with rental cars, and online taxis, expanding railroad routes and infrastructure to residential enclaves.
