Abstrakt:	This article provides an overview of the scientific awards given by the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) and the nomination process with the goal of encouraging diverse nominees. The article points out the diversity discrepancy in ACM membership compared to award winners as well as impact on future computing professionals when awards are given to diverse individuals. Topics include the role of special interest groups, a description of each of the ACM awards, as well as tips on how to submit an effective nomination.
