Abstrakt:	This article discusses a rare case of isolated persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) in a patient undergoing emergency surgery for acute type A aortic dissection. The diagnosis of PLSVC was incidental and made using transesophageal echocardiography (TEE). The article highlights the challenges and risks associated with inserting a pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) in patients with isolated PLSVC.
