Abstrakt:	A study conducted by researchers at the National University of Singapore examined the potential biological predispositions to cardiovascular recurrence in patients with ischemic stroke. The study found that elevated levels of plasma NOTCH3 were associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular recurrence in men with ischemic stroke. The researchers also observed increased expression of NOTCH3 in mouse sera following middle cerebral artery occlusion, suggesting its involvement in endothelial damage and atherosclerosis. These findings suggest that NOTCH3 may play a role in cardiovascular recurrence after an ischemic stroke. [Extracted from the article]
