Researchers at the Department of Information Engineering have published a new report on sepsis. The study focuses on the early detection of neurodevelopmental disorders in newborns, using heart rate variability (HRV) analysis as a method to predict neurodevelopment scores. The researchers found that HRV features, along with AI regression models, could accurately predict alterations that affect the correct neurodevelopment of newborns. This research suggests a potential link between the autonomic nervous system development and central nervous system maturation. [Extracted from the article] |
