Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill has found that extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from induced neural stem cells (iNSCs) show promise as a treatment for brain cancer. These EVs, known as Exo-iNSC-TRAIL, were found to be more effective at killing brain cancer cells compared to free TRAIL, a tumoricidal gene product. In animal models, Exo-iNSC-TRAIL significantly reduced tumor growth and increased survival rates. This research provides a novel and targeted approach to treating various forms of brain cancer.
