The Professional Excellence Group (PEG) and the National Engineers Alliance (NEA) have formed an alliance for the upcoming Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Elections 2024. This alliance has caused other engineering groups, such as the Pakistan Engineers Forum (PEF), to reconsider their positions. Before the alliance, PEG was in talks with PEF for a joint candidacy, while NEA was considering closing doors on The Engineers Pakistan (TEP). However, TEP's core committee did not approve of the joint candidate proposed by NEA. The alliance between PEG and NEA has affected the calculations of incumbent chairman Najeeb Haroon and has caused PEF to reevaluate their strategy.
