Corrosion is the main problem many products face, including Automobiles, Ships, Buildings, and Pipelines. Pipelines are used for transporting water, gas, and fossil fuels. Many of these pipes are subjected to internal and external corrosion, a major cause of concern. Many of these faults might result in spills and explosions. Corrosion monitoring manually is laborious and time-consuming. This has necessitated the development of automated remote-operated corrosion monitoring devices. The present research focuses on highlighting. the significance of IoT applications in monitoring corrosion in construction and pipe distribution of Oil and Gas companies.
