Abstrakt: This text tells the story of Cybele, a woman who undergoes a procedure called the Fitzgerald operation to de-age herself. Society turns against the Fitzgeraldists, blaming them for perpetuating harmful beauty standards. The Fitzgeraldists face protests and violence, and are eventually pushed into isolation. The Groomers, men who are attracted to the taboo of the Fitzgeraldists, kidnap and mark them. Cybele eventually checks into a nursery home for dying Fitzgeraldists, where she finds solace in playing with other women who have de-aged. The text raises questions about societal beauty standards, personal choices, social change, and the ethics of relationships with underage individuals. [Extracted from the article]
