Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Charite University Hospital and School of Medicine in Berlin, Germany, explored the relationship between viscoelasticity and water diffusion in soft biological tissues. The researchers used magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) to study various biomaterial samples. They developed a theoretical framework that revealed distinct clusters characterizing different water-network interactions based on solid and fluid viscosity. The findings suggest that tissue remodeling and architectural changes can be detected using clinical DWI and MRE, providing valuable information for diagnostic imaging. The research has been peer-reviewed and published in Acta Biomaterialia. [Extracted from the article]
