A recent report from the University Hospital of Caen explores the association between antidepressant use and delirium in older adults. The researchers analyzed data from the World Health Organization's global pharmacovigilance database and found a significant association between delirium and all antidepressant classes except serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). However, the association varied among different drugs within each class, and not all cases of delirium could be explained by antidepressant-induced hyponatremia.
