Abstrakt: | A recent report from the National Research Centre "Kurchatov Institute" discusses the prevalence of gastrointestinal diseases and conditions in monkeys. The study found that gastrointestinal infections are a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in captive monkeys. The leading pathology observed was gastroenterocolitis, with chronic atrophic gastroenterocolitis being the most common form. Helminth infestations were also detected in a significant number of monkeys. The study highlights the importance of complex therapy for monkeys with gastrointestinal diseases of helminth-bacterial etiology. [Extracted from the article] |
