A study conducted by the University of Arkansas aimed to evaluate the effects of cannabidiol (CBD) on anxiety-related symptoms in individuals with trauma exposure. The study involved 42 participants who were randomly assigned to take either 300 mg of oral CBD or a placebo daily for one week. The results showed that CBD did not significantly reduce anxiety, distress, or heart rate in response to trauma script presentation. However, due to the small sample size, further research is needed to make conclusive claims. This study provides a foundation for future research in this area. [Extracted from the article] |
