Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers from the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida explored the use of complementary and alternative medicine, specifically acupuncture and music therapy, in managing cancer-related pain. The study included 102 participants who received either acupuncture-only therapy or a combination of acupuncture and music therapy for six weeks. Both groups experienced significant improvements in pain intensity scores. The researchers concluded that while there was no significant difference between the two groups, both acupuncture and music therapy were effective in managing cancer-related pain. This research has been peer-reviewed and can be accessed through the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing. [Extracted from the article]
