A systematic review and meta-analysis conducted by researchers at Sichuan University aimed to identify patient-specific factors that predict the response to renal denervation (RDN) in patients with hypertension. The study included 50 studies, with 17 studies used for meta-analysis. The findings revealed that higher baseline heart rate and lower pulse wave velocity were associated with significant blood pressure reduction after RDN. Other factors such as higher baseline blood pressure, orthostatic hypertension, impaired baroreflex sensitivity, and certain biomarkers were also found to be associated with a better blood pressure response to RDN.
