A recent study conducted at the University Clinical Hospital examined the effectiveness and health impact of fad diets on obese patients. The research found that obesity is a prevalent health issue caused by factors such as bad eating habits, genetic factors, and psychological factors. Fad diets, which are popular dietary strategies promoted for quick weight loss, were analyzed in terms of their effectiveness and long-term health consequences. The study concluded that fad diets are not recommended as a long-term nutrition solution due to their short-term effectiveness, difficulty in adherence, high risk of weight regain, and lack of positive long-term health outcomes.
